What is acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a Traditional Chinese Medicine practice. Acupuncture can be used to treat pain, promote relaxation and balance the body’s energy.
As I said to Paula on my second visit ‘no offence but I never expected to feel so good’. Chronic back pain sufferer after a car crash 5 years ago. I exhausted what I thought was every avenue including surgical procedures and my ‘normal’ was just coping with chronic pain, painkillers and sleeping tablets. I’ve just had my third session with Paula and I am the best I have been since the accident, I haven't even needed medication. I am so happy with the results. I would highly recommend anyone looking to try Acupuncture for whatever reason to give Paula a try, she is professional, friendly and thorough.
I met Paula for my first session of acupuncture 3 weeks ago. She was so friendly and caring and very professional. Her premises is extremely clean with a beautiful relaxing room. During my consultation, Paula put my mind at ease. The needles were painless and I had the most relaxing time with beautiful music. I was suffering with pressure in my head so I decided to have another session the following week. After this I walked out as if I was walking on air, pain and pressure free and I have not had any pain since. I would definitely would recommend Paula to anyone looking for an acupuncturist in the area.
Paula has been such a huge support to me over the past almost year I have been going to see her. She is so kind, compassionate and empathetic, which is harder to find that it should be on an infertility journey. I can never thank her enough for her flexibility and care she gave me and my husband during this time. She is not pushy and works around your schedule etc. I would highly recommend her to anyone!
Paula spent a lot of time listening and discussing with me about what I needed support with (fertility and sciatica). Together we worked out a schedule that would help maximise the therapy, sometimes even doing last minute appointments. Paula also gave me lots of advice for preparing for appointments and working out the optimal times for appointments which is critical for fertility support. Paula always ensured the therapy space was warm and welcoming and that I was comfortable and at ease.
Benefits of Acupuncture
It is understood that acupuncture works by stimulating the release of endorphins, the body’s natural pain-relieving chemicals.
Acupuncture is useful in addressing a variety of health conditions and a practitioner will look to treat the cause and not just the presenting symptom.
